My last few days in Africa were dominated by three things: birds were the first. Our proximity to the water meant that we saw many different types, including this African fish eagle...
...and this Marshall eagle
Here are some yellow-billed and Marabou storks
A lovely gray heron
A black-winged stilt having a morning snack
In addition, here is a photo of the skittish vervet monkey
And I just came across some photos of a herd of zebra that we found grazing early one morning
Junior is grazing in a slightly different way!
We were walking soon after that and came within 100 yards (90 m) of this herd of buffalo
